# Donkey Kong 64

Pour la première fois sur Nintendo 64, Donkey Kong et sa ménagerie débarquent en grande pompe.

Et on peut parler de ménagerie puisque trois nouveaux personnages viennent accompagner Donkey et Diddy Kong : Tiny, Chunky et Lanky.

Pour terminer le jeu, il faudra jouer avec les trois, ce qui augmente le nombre de niveaux. On en trouve une centaine répartis en huit mondes.

Et ce n'est pas tout, l'éditeur a caché 40 mini-jeux secrets qu'il vous faudra découvrir.

Donkey Kong. Un nom qui suffit à faire vibrer des milliers de joueurs. Que ce soit en arcade au début des années 80, sur Super Nintendo début 90 ou sur Nintendo 64, les aventures du gorille bondissant ont toujours été des succès phénoménaux.

Rien de surprenant alors à apprendre combien ce nouvel épisode transcende la série en lui faisant faire ses premiers pas dans l'ère 3D.

Ainsi techniquement Donkey Kong 64 pousse la Nintendo 64 dans ses derniers retranchements. À noter qu'il est d'ailleurs indispensable de posséder le fameux accessoire Ram Pak pour faire tourner le jeu.

Un investissement annexe qui vous ouvrira les portes d'un jeu de plate-forme/action d'une rare profondeur.

Affronter les sbires du caïman K. Rool, retrouver le reste de votre tribu simiesque, ainsi que votre réserve de bananes, voilà résumé dans les grandes lignes ce qui vous attendra. Première bonne surprise, hormis le célèbre Donkey, vous aurez la possibilité d'incarner 4 autres singes possédant tous des habilités propres. Diddy, Tiny, Lanky et Chunky, ils ne seront pas de trop pour arpenter chaque centimètre carré des 8 gigantesques mondes que compte le jeu.

Pour corser le tout, chaque lieu dispose d'un objectif différent pour chaque personnage, ce qui nous fait un total de 40 objectifs !

Impressionnant, surtout qu'il vous faudra aussi composer avec de nombreux minijeux, les transformations diverses (espadon, rhinocéros), sans oublier les modes multi-joueurs regroupant jusqu'à 4 personnes dans des duels à coup de bananes parfois un peu violents.

Disposant de magnifiques thèmes graphiques (forêt vierge, désert, caverne?) et proposant une richesse de jeu rare, Donkey Kong 64 casse littéralement la baraque. Un bonheur pour les amoureux du genre.
